Our approach
The Wright-Huggins Protocol
Dr. Wright trained one-on-one with Dr. Hal Huggins, a pioneer of biological dentistry, and later became his personal dentist. This protocol carries that legacy forward.
Who was Dr. Hal Huggins?
In the 1970s, Dr. Hal Huggins set out to make dentistry safer. After more than ten years in practice, he became focused on the toxicity of mercury and how silver amalgam fillings might affect the whole body. That work led him to earn a master's degree from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in toxicology and immunology.
He went on to found the Huggins Diagnostic Center, bringing his research and holistic approach to patients across the country. He also raised concerns about root canals, arguing that leaving a non-vital tooth in the body could allow bacteria and their toxins to reach the bloodstream.

A mentor, and a patient
Dr. Wright studied one-on-one with Dr. Huggins and completed all of his coursework, including his blood chemistry course. He was honored to be chosen as Dr. Huggins' personal dentist, and cared for him until his passing in November 2014.
In his honor, we keep his legacy alive through what we call the Wright-Huggins Protocol, and we keep researching safe, healthy practices for our patients.
